Two Volunteer Opportunities at Pride of Place Leeds

Pride of Place Leeds are a non-profit LGBTQ+ volunteer led community organisation.

Our vision is to enable the creation of a vibrant and sustainable LGBTQ+ community in central Leeds where LGBTQ+ people can live, relax and play independently through:

• a variety of affordable and accessible accommodation with the availability of extra-care for those who need it.

• a fully accessible and thriving Cultural Community Space

Voluntary Committee Secretary

The role of the committee secretary is to support the chair and the committee by ensuring the committee functions smoothly. The secretary may perform their duties directly or delegate them to another committee member and ensure that they have been carried out. Pride of Place Leeds ideally needs to develop a communication and marketing strategy to help take the next step towards our aims of an LGBTQ+ Housing scheme and Cultural Community Space. We are looking for a volunteer with communication and marketing skills to maintain and develop our online presence as well as liaise with mainstream media outlets to promote our organisation. Our Vision

The Community Matters vision is to provide a sustainable and effective "hub" of learning, support, advice and guidance, enabling local communities and organisations to grow and achieve through the provision of a high quality service.

We do this in a number of ways through our various projects which at the moment concentrate on working with children, young people and families. But not exclusively. We are able to provide training, learning opportunities and business related advice, guidance and information to individuals and organisations.
