£20,000 to £23,000 per annum 

35+ hours per week (including occasional evening and weekend work)


As an Education Mentor you will be required to support and mentor students, both individually and in groups, to ensure they have every opportunity to maximise their potential and complete the Foundation Degree programme that we have developed in partnership with the University of South Wales. Other aspects of the role will include working with a broad age range of participants to deliver classroom based and practical coaching sessions at different locations, including schools and other community settings; therefore, the post holder will be required to work outdoors and to travel to different locations as part of the role.

This is a crucial role in which you will be pivotal to ensuring a successful partnership with the University of South Wales, and more importantly, students’ success on their course of study.


Candidates must have demonstrable experience in sports coaching, and previous experience of working with and mentoring people in the 14-21 age groups. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to motivate and inspire young people, are also essential to be successful in this role.


Applicants must be educated to degree level in a sport-related subject and hold FA Level 1 and 2 qualifications in coaching Football. Candidates must also hold a valid First Aid certificate and have relevant experience or training in safeguarding. Excellent IT skills would be advantageous
