Hours: 20 hours per week

Salary: £21,000 pro-rata

Contract: Initially for 1 year

An exciting opportunity has arisen within an established and forward thinking local charity who provide advice and support to disabled people and their families in Barnsley. We require someone with enthusiasm and passion to support us with efficient financial management, project monitoring, evaluating and evidencing the impact of DIAL’s services.

You will have at least two years experience of using accounting systems like Quickbooks. Experience with budget preparation and excel spreadsheets is essential. You will have excellent written skills including the ability to produce accurate and concise reports and documents as required. You will have excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail. The understanding of UK Charity SORP and fund accounting is desirable.

You will have experience of monitoring data and prepare regular progress reports including statistical and financial monitoring information. You will act as an ambassador for DIAL and will need the ability to engage with clients effectively to gather evidence of impact to report to funders.

You will have the ability to plan and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, including an ability to work independently without direct supervision.

You must be IT literate and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Understanding of and demonstrating commitment to the aims and objectives of DIAL is essential.
