Due to retirement, we are seeking a Head of Services & Clinical Lead (Adults) to hold senior operational, clinical, and strategic responsibility for a portfolio of therapeutic services in Leeds for adults with common mental health problems, and to work as a member of Northpoints senior management team (SMT), helping to provide oversight & direction for the wider charity. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing organisation providing services to support the mental health of adults in our community. We are looking for someone who has the confidence and ability to think strategically, and yet is still prepared to be hands-on while prioritising and coping with multiple demands in a growing charity.            

Main duties of the job

  

To hold senior operational, clinical, and strategic responsibility, for a number of Services.

To ensure that an approach to clinical issues, in line with Northpoints values & ethos, is promoted across all Northpoints services for adults; that clinical practice & policy are developed & implemented consistently across our services; and that clinical risk is managed appropriately.

We know that still too many people in our communities struggle to access the timely therapeutic help they need, and we work hard to change that. Northpoint was established in 1996, in Leeds, as a charity with a broad remit to improve mental wellbeing. The charity now operates psychological therapy and mental wellbeing services in Leeds and Calderdale, and a small amount of service provision in York and Doncaster. Since its inception, Northpoint has grown and developed into a successful organisation working in partnership with statutory services and other voluntary sector agencies to deliver the best outcomes for clients and funders. We now support over 5,000 clients annually, employing around 160 staff, with an income of £5m pa.
