Hours of work: 16 hours per week

Salary Rate: £11.05 per hour / £9,220 per annum


Who are BSA?

BSA is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) focused on the needs of older age people living in the area of LS9 East Leeds. BSA has been in operation since 1995 and partners with key stakeholders such as Leeds City Council and the NHS. We live our values and are passionate about improving the lives of others, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or age. We believe everyone should live the best older life possible. BSA is a local, ground-level charity helping to improve the lives of older people by offering practical and welcome support daily, with activities, information, advocacy, outreach, and wellbeing services. The people we support are friends and we are here to help anyway we can. We work with local people, volunteers, councillors, professional services and more. We are a fun and informal team, working hard to assist people and enhance their lives, always aiming to enjoy our work.


Main purpose of the Role

Working under the direction of the Project Manager, this is an important role for the future growth and development of BSA and oversees the day-to-day record keeping and management of BSA operational functions. Including but not limited to finance, HR, trustee, reporting, general administration, coordinating volunteer and stakeholder practices and supporting the governance framework, member database and more. Working as part of a small close-knit team the role holder will work directly with the Project Manager, Activities Coordinator and Finance Officer to promote a positive working environment and culture.


Management Trustees expect BSA team members to actively promote the aims of the BSA at all opportunities and represent BSA as a positive force for change in the local community.

We do this in a number of ways through our various projects which at the moment concentrate on working with children, young people and families. But not exclusively. We are able to provide training, learning opportunities and business related advice, guidance and information to individuals and organisations.
