SNAPS (Special Needs and Parent Support) is a wonderful Leeds charity that works with children with disabilities and their families. We offer Rebound therapy, Swimming lessons, Hydrotherapy for the children and hall activities such as arts and craft, Boccia, music therapy, dance, and free play for the whole family on Saturdays in term time. The children, parents and siblings also benefit from the chance to meet and build relationships with other individuals and families in the same situation as themselves.

We are looking for enthusiastic, professional, caring and fun individuals to join our growing team. We need both experienced staff and committed volunteers at Broomfield SILC, LS10 3JP and Penny Field SILC LS6 4QD.

The staff and volunteers will need to be onsite between 9am and 2pm on the Saturdays we are open in term time. The Support Workers will work within the Rebound Room, Swimming/Hydrotherapy area, outside space and deliver activities within the Main Hall. Support Workers play a key role at SNAPS and are the faces that our families will get to know each week.

Joining SNAPS as a Support Worker is a wonderful chance to help with children with additional needs and their families whilst having lots of fun! It is also a great opportunity for the right candidates to get valuable work experience within the physiotherapy or care fields. SNAPS is a supportive employer, and we aim to help our staff and volunteers reach their own personal and career goals.

The Community Matters vision is to provide a sustainable and effective "hub" of learning, support, advice and guidance, enabling local communities and organisations to grow and achieve through the provision of a high quality service.

We do this in a number of ways through our various projects which at the moment concentrate on working with children, young people and families. But not exclusively.
