Hours: 21 hours per week (weekdays to be agreed)
Salary: £22,000 per annum (pro-rata) + 8% non-contributory pension
Contract: Initially for 1 year (may be extended subject to funding)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within an established and forward thinking local charity who provide advice and support to disabled people and their families in Barnsley. We require someone to inspire, recruit and support people to volunteer their time, skills and energy to enable the delivery of DIAL’s Volunteer Strategy.
You will have experience in recruiting and developing roles to fit within the needs of the organisation. The ability to assess and create a plan for training and skills to meet individual volunteer needs is essential.

Your role will be to manage the volunteer database and records, roster and organise volunteers and resolve conflict.
You will act as an ambassador for DIAL and develop working relationships with other agencies, corporate and public bodies and Barnsley CVS to promote our volunteering opportunities.
You will be involved in organising events and social gatherings to recognise and reward our volunteers.


You will need to manage a complex workload, prioritising effectively where necessary including an ability to work independently without direct supervision.
You must be IT literate an be able to use computerised systems to be able to produce reports and documents accurately.
