STEP is a Neighbourhood Network Scheme supporting older people in West Park & Far Headingley, Leeds.

Monday – Wednesday, 10.30am – 4.00pm, Thursday 10.30am – 3.00pm

21 hrs per week

Job Description

To be responsible for the setting up and running of daily groups at the STEP centre.

To recruit and match Volunteers to help run groups/activities alongside you at the STEP centre.

To hold a quarterly Volunteer meeting.

To keep our website up to date and set up Social Media sites for STEP e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram

Keep all Social Media sites up to date.

To provide a weekly report of all groups/volunteers to The STEP Manager

To plan new groups/activities/events on a regular basis

A DBS Check will be undertaken.

 

Job Specification

Experience of working with Volunteers

Experience of working with Older People

Experience of facilitating groups

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent Social Media Skills

Experience of writing engaging and creative posts for social media

Excellent organiser

Reliable and punctual

Competent in IT (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher)

Must be able to keep accurate records for weekly reports

Must be able to keep financial records

Must be able to provide 2 references from previous employers

Desirable:

Experience of employment within the Voluntary Sector

Knowledge of the work of Neighbourhood Network Schemes
